Coloring bookmarks to print and color
A kite, a potted tulip, a bookshelf and a sailboat: four original designs for the next book on your bedside table. Each bookmark is 2 by 6 inches. Print a sheet of four, color the scenes and use the corner marks to find the edges.
Free, with no email or account. Each PDF is one landscape sheet with four bookmarks. The wider-space edition below uses the same subjects with fewer details. These are fixed drawings for coloring on paper, without editable fields.

Original scenes
Color the kite in separate panels, add stripes to the book spines or choose different colors for the boat’s hull bands. These drawings have a few interior lines while leaving the main shapes open.

Wider spaces
The same four subjects have fewer interior lines. The kite is one uninterrupted shape, the tulip and leaves have no interior strokes, the shelves hold fewer wider books, and the boat has a single hull panel.

Look closely before choosing a sheet
Both editions contain all four subjects in the same order. You can print one edition for everyone or choose different sheets when people prefer different amounts of detail. Each close-up below shows the original design; expand the comparison to see its wider-space version.

Keep the bookmarks 2 by 6 inches
Choose the file that matches your paper: US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches, and A4 is 210 × 297 mm. Set the print orientation to landscape and choose 100% or Actual size. A setting such as Fit to page changes the finished bookmark dimensions.
The short corner marks sit outside the artwork. Each pair of marks aligns with one corner of a 2-by-6-inch rectangle. Follow four straight edges between those positions; the drawing itself is not the trim boundary. Color the sheet before separating the bookmarks if you’d rather work on a full page. The artwork leaves a white margin inside each bookmark.
A ruler across the corner positions should measure 2 inches wide and 6 inches tall on the printed sheet. If it doesn’t, check the paper-size and scaling settings before printing more copies. Printer margins vary, so check that all the corner marks are visible in your print preview. No ribbon, punched hole or lamination is required.
These files keep the drawings fixed. Print another copy to try a different palette, leave some areas white, or add a name on the back. You may print them for personal use, gifts or a group coloring activity. Please link to this page when sharing the downloads rather than selling or redistributing the files.
If you also want a place to record books or reading time, the reading log maker makes a separate printable record. For a pencil activity with a picture to uncover, try the connect-the-dots sheets.
One possible color choice
The example pairs a golden kite with a blue cloud and green hill. It’s a digital color demonstration of the same original outline, not a photo of a printed or hand-colored bookmark. The black-and-white downloads leave every color up to you.
