## 2026–27 student dates

- August 18: First day of school. High school students begin classwork.
- August 18: Seventh-grade orientation. Seventh-grade students attend orientation.
- August 18: Quarter 1 begins. Quarter 1 begins.
- August 19: Elementary and grades 8–9 first day. Elementary students in grades K–6 and middle-school students in grades 8–9 begin classwork.
- September 7: Labor Day recess. Students do not attend for Labor Day recess.
- September 23 to 24: Secondary fall parent-teacher conferences. Secondary parent-teacher conferences; schools will provide details on times and formats.
- September 25: Elementary no school. Elementary students do not attend; this is an elementary teacher professional development day.
- September 25: Middle and high schools closed. Middle- and high-school students do not attend; this is a teacher compensatory day.
- September 30 to October 1: Elementary fall parent-teacher conferences. Elementary parent-teacher conferences; schools will provide details on times and formats.
- October 2: Elementary school closed. Elementary students do not attend; this is a teacher compensatory day.
- October 2: Middle and high schools closed. Middle- and high-school students do not attend; this is a teacher professional development day.
- October 16: Quarter 1 ends. Quarter 1 ends.
- October 19: Grade transmittal day. Students do not attend for grade transmittal day.
- October 20 to 23: Fall recess. Students do not attend for fall recess.
- October 26: Quarter 2 begins. Quarter 2 begins.
- November 10: High school modified schedule. Eleventh-grade students do not attend. Tenth- and twelfth-grade students attend in the morning only for Pre-ACT and college-prep activities; the schedule is tentative.
- November 13: Teacher professional development day. Students do not attend for teacher professional development.
- November 25 to 27: Thanksgiving recess. Students do not attend for Thanksgiving recess.
- December 21, 2026 to January 1, 2027: Winter recess. Students do not attend for winter recess.
- January 14: Quarter 2 ends. Quarter 2 ends.
- January 15: Grade transmittal day. Students do not attend for grade transmittal day.
- January 18: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day recess. Students do not attend for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day recess.
- January 19: Quarter 3 begins. Quarter 3 begins.
- February 5: Teacher professional development day. Students do not attend for teacher professional development.
- February 10 to 11: Spring parent-teacher conferences. Parent-teacher conferences for all levels; schools will provide details on times and formats.
- February 12: Teacher compensatory day. Students do not attend; this is a teacher compensatory day.
- February 15: Washington and Lincoln Day recess. Students do not attend for Washington and Lincoln Day recess.
- March 16: High school modified schedule. Eleventh-grade students attend in the morning only for ACT testing; tenth- and twelfth-grade students do not attend. The schedule is tentative.
- March 25: Quarter 3 ends. Quarter 3 ends.
- March 26: Grade transmittal day. Students do not attend for grade transmittal day.
- March 29 to April 2: Spring recess. Students do not attend for spring recess.

- June 1 to 3: High school graduations. High school graduations are scheduled.
- June 3: Seventh-grade last day. Seventh-grade students have their last day of classwork.
- June 4: Last day and Quarter 4 ends. Elementary students, middle-school students in grades 8–9, and high-school students have their last day of classwork. Quarter 4 ends.
