## 2026–27 student dates

- August 3 to 11: Professional development / student holidays. Students do not attend; professional development/student holiday through August 11.
- August 12: First day of school. First student day of the 2026–2027 school year.
- August 12 to September 18: Six-week grading period 1. First six-week grading period; 27 instructional days.
- September 7: Labor Day. Students do not attend.
- September 18: Six-week grading period 1 ends. End of the first six-week grading period; 27 instructional days.
- September 21 to October 30: Six-week grading period 2. Second six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- October 9: Professional development / student holiday. Students do not attend; professional development/student holiday.
- October 12: Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day. Students do not attend.
- October 29: High school early release. High school students are released early at 12:45 PM.
- October 30: Early release for all students. All students are released early: elementary 11:50 AM, junior high 12:30 PM, high school 12:45 PM.
- October 30: Six-week grading period 2 ends. End of the second six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- November 2: Election Week break. Students do not attend.
- November 3: Professional development / student holiday. Students do not attend; professional development/student holiday.
- November 4 to December 18: Six-week grading period 3. Third six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- November 23 to 27: Thanksgiving break. Students do not attend.
- December 18: Early release for all students. All students are released early: elementary 11:50 AM, junior high 12:30 PM, high school 12:45 PM.
- December 18: Six-week grading period 3 ends. End of the third six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- December 21, 2026 to January 4, 2027: Winter break. Students do not attend.
- January 5 to February 12: Six-week grading period 4. Fourth six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students do not attend.
- February 11: High school early release. High school students are released early at 12:45 PM.
- February 12: Early release for all students. All students are released early: elementary 11:50 AM, junior high 12:30 PM, high school 12:45 PM.
- February 12: Six-week grading period 4 ends. End of the fourth six-week grading period; 28 instructional days.
- February 15 to 16: Presidents' Day break. Students do not attend.
- February 17 to April 9: Six-week grading period 5. Fifth six-week grading period; 32 instructional days.
- March 15 to 19: Spring break. Students do not attend.
- March 26: Good Friday. Students do not attend.
- April 9: Six-week grading period 5 ends. End of the fifth six-week grading period; 32 instructional days.
- April 12: Professional development / student holiday. Students do not attend; professional development/student holiday.
- April 13 to May 26: Six-week grading period 6. Sixth six-week grading period; 32 instructional days.
- May 26: Last day of school and early release. Last student day; all students are released early: elementary 11:50 AM, junior high 12:30 PM, high school 12:45 PM.
- May 26: Early release for all students. All students are released early: elementary 11:50 AM, junior high 12:30 PM, high school 12:45 PM.
- May 26: Six-week grading period 6 ends. End of the sixth six-week grading period; 32 instructional days.
- May 27: Professional development / student holiday. Students do not attend; professional development/student holiday.
- May 28: KEYS graduation. Graduation: KEYS at 7:00 PM.
- May 31: Trinity and L.D. Bell graduations. Graduation: Trinity at 2:00 PM and L.D. Bell at 6:00 PM.
