## 2026–27 student dates

- September 1 to 2: No School. Students do not attend September 1–2; September 1 is a superintendent’s conference/professional-development day and September 2 is a teacher set-up day.
- September 3: First Day for Students. First day of school for students.
- September 7: Labor Day. Labor Day; students do not attend.
- October 12: Indigenous Peoples’ & Italian Heritage Day. Students do not attend for Indigenous Peoples’ & Italian Heritage Day.
- November 3: Election Day. Election Day; students do not attend.
- November 11: Veterans Day. Veterans Day; students do not attend.
- November 25 to 27: Thanksgiving Recess. Thanksgiving recess; students do not attend.
- December 24, 2026 to January 1, 2027: Winter Recess. Winter recess; students do not attend through January 1.
- January 18: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students do not attend for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- January 26 to 29: High School Regents Exams. High school Regents exams are scheduled January 26–29.
- February 15 to 19: Presidents’ Day and Mid-Winter Break. Presidents’ Day and mid-winter break; students do not attend.
- March 10: Eid al-Fitr. Students do not attend for Eid al-Fitr.
- March 26: Good Friday. Students do not attend for Good Friday.
- March 29 to April 2: Easter Observed and Spring Recess. Spring recess, including Easter (observed); students do not attend through April 2.
- April 13 to 14: Grades 3–8 ELA Testing. New York State grades 3–8 ELA testing.
- April 27 to 28: Grades 3–8 Math Testing. New York State grades 3–8 math testing.
- May 4: Grades 5 and 8 Science Testing. New York State grade 5 and grade 8 science testing.
- May 12: Early Release Day. Early release day for students.
- May 13 to 14: Superintendent’s Conference Days and NYS Test Scoring. Students do not attend on the superintendent’s conference days and NYS test-scoring days.
- May 31: Memorial Day. Memorial Day; students do not attend.
- June 15 to 17: High School Regents Exams. High school Regents exams are scheduled June 15–17; the printed June 15–24 exam period resumes June 21 after the June 18 Juneteenth holiday.
- June 18: Juneteenth Holiday (Observed). Observed Juneteenth holiday; students do not attend.
- June 21 to 24: High School Regents Exams. High school Regents exams resume June 21 and are scheduled through June 24.
- June 24: Last Day for Students. Last day for students.
- June 25: No School. Students do not attend; this is the rating day and last day for faculty, after the printed last day for students on June 24.
