## 2026–27 student dates

- August 18 to 21: Staff Professional Development Days. Students have no school during staff return, worktime, and professional development days; the calendar marks August 18–21 as Staff PD Day/Schools Closed for Students.
- August 24: First Day of School. First day for traditional schools; some charter schools may have a different start date.
- August 24: Grading Periods Begin. Traditional Quarter 1 and Trimester 1 begin.
- September 7: Labor Day. Schools and Central Office are closed for Labor Day.
- September 21: Wellness Day. Schools are closed; Wellness Day and observance day.
- September 23: Traditional Quarter 1 Progress Report. Traditional Quarter 1 progress report term ends.
- October 6: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development; Trimester 1 progress report term ends.
- October 6: Trimester 1 Progress Report. Trimester 1 progress report term ends.
- October 15: Early Release. Early release; Parent-Teacher Conference in the afternoon.
- October 16: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development.
- October 23: Early Release. Early release day.
- October 23: Traditional Quarter 1 Report Card. Traditional Quarter 1 report card term ends.
- October 26: Traditional Quarter 2 Begins. Traditional Quarter 2 begins.
- November 3: Election Day. Schools and Central Office are closed for Election Day.
- November 6: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development.
- November 20: Trimester 1 Report Card. Trimester 1 report card term ends.
- November 23: Trimester 2 Begins. Trimester 2 begins.
- November 25 to 27: Thanksgiving Break. Schools and Central Office are closed for Wellness Day and Thanksgiving Break.
- December 1: Traditional Quarter 2 Progress Report. Traditional Quarter 2 progress report term ends.
- December 23, 2026 to January 3, 2027: Winter Break. Schools are closed for Winter Break through January 3.
- January 8: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for professional development.
- January 15: Early Release. Early release day.

- February 5: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development.
- February 15: Presidents Day. Schools and Central Office are closed for Presidents Day.
- February 19: Traditional Quarter 3 Progress Report. Traditional Quarter 3 progress report term ends.
- March 4: Trimester 2 Report Card. Trimester 2 report card term ends.
- March 5: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development.
- March 8: Trimester 3 Begins. Trimester 3 begins.
- March 10: Wellness Day. Schools are closed; Wellness Day and observance day.
- March 25: Early Release. Early release day.
- March 25: Traditional Quarter 3 Report Card. Traditional Quarter 3 report card term ends.
- March 26 to April 4: Spring Break. Schools are closed for Spring Break through April 4.
- April 5: Traditional Quarter 4 Begins. Traditional Quarter 4 begins.
- April 27: Trimester 3 Progress Report. Trimester 3 progress report term ends.
- May 6: Traditional Quarter 4 Progress Report. Traditional Quarter 4 progress report term ends.
- May 7: Professional Development Day. Schools are closed for students for professional development.
- May 31: Memorial Day. Schools and Central Office are closed for Memorial Day.
- June 11: Last Day of School and Early Release. Last day of school and early release; Traditional Quarter 4 and Trimester 3 report card terms end. The date is subject to change if inclement-weather recovery days are needed.
- June 11: Final Report Card Terms End. Traditional Quarter 4 and Trimester 3 report card terms end.
- June 18: Juneteenth Observance. Schools and Central Office are closed for Juneteenth observance.
